I'm sorry, but as the buyer, it's your duty to expect that the seller is going to lie to you, and be pleasantly surprised if he doesn't. You should've had this car checked out before paying him anything. It does suck, but it's hard for me to pity your situation if you completely trusted the person who's trying to make money off you.
